Ghostbusters Animated Series Coming to Netflix

Oh look, another thing for me to get excited about only for Netflix to cancel it after two seasons…

As part of the celebration behind Ghostbusters Day yesterday, Sony announced a number of upcoming Ghostbuster projects. There’s an upcoming VR game, a new Dark Horse comic series, two new films — a live-action followup to Ghostbusters: Afterlife, and a full-length animated project — as well as a Netflix animated series.

The project, based on the Ghostbusters IP, hails from Ghostbusters: Afterlife co-writers Jason Reitman and Gil Kenan (Ghost Corps) and Sony Pictures Animation. Reitman and Kenan will executive produce, and production will be in conjunction with Ghost Corps, Inc.
